Founded by author and TV’s Most Haunted paranormal expert and presenter Phil Whyman. From the outset the aim of The Ghost Hunting Company was to provide guests with a high quality ghost hunting event that they would remember for a long time, whilst also offering them the opportunity to work alongside Phil Whyman himself.

Phil was keen to establish a company whose events would be enjoyed by all participants and as a result The Ghost Hunting Company are celebrated for their friendly, relaxed and informative approach to their events. Phil Whyman is an internationally recognised figure within the paranormal genre and world of paranormal TV programming. He is the founder of The Ghost Hunting Company. Having been investigating the paranormal for over a quarter of a century his knowledge of ghosts, hauntings and the unexplained has been called upon numerous times within the media. In 2002 he became the resident paranormal expert and presenter on the hugely successful ‘Most Haunted’ television series, appearing in three series and numerous live shows for ‘Most Haunted-LIVE’, which were watched by millions. Prior to ‘Most Haunted’ he appeared in the popular ‘Scream Team’ series. In 2007 his book ‘Dead Haunted: paranormal encounters and investigations’ was published. In the same year he also became a monthly columnist for ‘Chat-It’s Fate’ magazine.

Sara Whyman

Sara Whyman – founder of Yorkshire’s premier paranormal investigation group – has investigated numerous locations around the UK and contributed to several articles concerning the paranormal.

She has appeared on various paranormal related TV shows including ‘Most Haunted Live’, ‘The Great Unexplained Debate’ and ‘Derek Acorah’s Ghost Towns Live’. Although Sara is quite sceptical with regards to the paranormal in general, she has experienced a few incidents which to date are hard to explain. Sara’s encounters with the paranormal include seeing the form of an RAF airman whilst she was investigating at a military base in Hull. And one night when living in a 16th century hall in 2012 she saw a figure standing in the middle of the room, silhouetted against one of the windows.

Dale Dickinson has been a Team Leader with TGHC for a number of years now. A keen photographer, Dale can be found snapping away during vigils, in the hope of capturing that elusive
image of spirit that we all seem to be searching for.

 

 

Dan Winter

Team Leader

Dan Winter is one of our newest Team Leaders, and brings a wealth of experience to our events. A keen gadget man, he often brings interesting pieces of kit on investigations. His regular daytime job sees him working with all manner of animals. His claim to fame is that a young tigress almost mauled him to death; a co-worker intervened, and instead she just left him with a badly savaged shoulder, which needed urgent hospital treatment!
