Phil Whyman’s Ghost Hunting Company: Terms & Conditions
Persons attending any Phil Whyman’s Ghost Hunting Company (hereafter known as ‘TGHC’) event must be 18 years of age or older; proof of age may be required and must be provided upon such request.
Participants taking part in TGHC events are required to be in good health.
If you have an existing medical condition, are of a nervous disposition or have mobility issues (walking, climbing stairs or standing for any length of time) you are advised not to book an event.
Anyone found to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs during a TGHC event will be asked to leave immediately; refunds will not be given.
Some venues have a bar where drinks may be purchased, in these cases we ask that you drink in moderation and do not exceed the legal limit for driving; TGHC will not be held responsible in any way for accidents arising as a result of alcohol and/or drug abuse whilst on our events.
Anyone found to be abusive, aggressive, rude or threatening to fellow participants or to TGHC crew members will be removed from the event. Refunds will not be given.
Smoking indoors at any of our event locations is strictly forbidden.
Smokers will be made aware of permitted outdoor areas on the night of the event, which must be adhered to at all times.
We do not allow naked flames / candles at any of our locations or events; THIS IS FOR EVERYBODY’S SAFETY. Anyone found to be in breach of this condition will be removed immediately from the event. Refunds will not be given.
Personal possessions and articles brought to the event remain your own responsibility. TGHC do not accept liability for damage or loss of such items during events.
It is advised you do not leave anything of value unattended at any time. By taking part in an event you agree to indemnify TGHC and the event location against any loss, damage or theft to your personal possessions whilst doing so.
TGHC recommends that you have your own public liability insurance in place before attending any investigation with us, in the unlikely event of an accident.
Attending any TGHC event is solely at your own risk; TGHC will not be liable for any accident, injury or death to you whilst on our events, regardless of the cause.
By joining TGHC on an investigation, you agree to act in a sensible and civilized manner at all times and to abide by the directions and instructions given by TGHC crew members and location management at each event. Please take care whilst at a location, as you will be held personally responsible for any damage caused by yourself as a result from not adhering to given instructions or directions; TGHC will accept no responsibility for damage caused by you.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are wearing suitable clothing for each event and that you come prepared for any weather conditions.
Occasionally TGHC will film and /or record audio during events for use in promotional content and video productions. By attending TGHC events you are agreeing to your image being used for such purposes in a non-defamatory manner.
The use of TGHC investigation equipment may be offered during events; this is at the sole discretion of TGHC. Should you use such equipment you do so in the understanding that any misuse or abuse of said equipment will render you liable for any loss or damage incurred. If you feel you cannot agree to this condition then please do not use our equipment.
Whilst our events are deemed as entertainment TGHC does not manufacture or create scares of a paranormal nature; anything that could be interpreted as paranormal in origin during our events is done so at your own discretion. TGHC will not be held responsible for any distress, harm or injury caused as a result of any unexplained activity or fright. You attend at your own risk.
If you have a disability or are of limited ability please contact TGHC prior to any ticket purchase, as unfortunately not all of our locations are suitable for disabled or those with limited ability. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Ticket prices do not include accommodation or travel in any form; this must be arranged by you should you wish for somewhere to stay after the event finish time.
Occasionally TGHC will provide an experienced medium on our events. By attending such events you wholly accept that any comments or information given by such individuals is not to be taken as being factual or actual.
TGHC reserves the right to change the prices of its events / products withoutprior notification. Occasionally events / products may be offered at a discounted price, for promotional purposes. You wholly accept and understand that such discounted prices will not be honoured by TGHC for customers who have already purchased prior to the commencement of promotions or after such promotions have expired.
TGHC reserves the right to update and amend these Terms & Conditions at any given time. It is therefore advised that you revisit this page from time to time to make yourself aware of such updates and amendments; this is important as these Terms & Conditions form a binding agreement between both parties (TGHC and you).
Phil Whyman’s Ghost Hunting Company: Deposits
Deposits are on a non-refundable basis only and are priced per person. Under no circumstances will a deposit be refunded if you are no longer able to attend the event you have paid the deposit against.
Any outstanding balance must be cleared by the date stated in the event details listing. Failure to clear any outstanding balance on or before the indicated date (as per the event details listing) will result in your booking/places being cancelled. You must inform The Ghost Hunting Company immediately if you are encountering difficulty in meeting the oustanding balance payment date.
The Ghost Hunting Company reserve the right to end the Deposit scheme at any given time and without prior notification.
Phil Whyman’s Ghost Hunting Company: Cancellations & Refunds Policy
Cancellation Of Events By You
If you cancel any event booking with The Ghost Hunting Company (hereafter known as TGHC) then the following refund policy applies:
If you cancel a fully paid booking within 7 days of the booking date we will issue a full refund less 10% administration fee of the total booking cost.
If you cancel a fully paid booking up to 8 weeks before the event date we will issue a full refund less 50% cancellation fee of the total booking cost.
If you cancel a fully paid booking up to 6 weeks before the event date we will issue a full refund less 70% cancellation fee of the total booking cost.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES FOR CANCELLATIONS WITHIN 6 WEEKS OF THE EVENT DATE.
In all instances refunds may take up to 30 days to be issued.
Event Transfer Policy
Should you find you cannot attend an event then you may be permitted to transfer to an alternative; transfer requests will only be permitted once; subsequent transfer requests for the same original event date will not be accepted.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES will The Ghost Hunting Company accept or honour transfer requests that occur within 6 weeks of your original event date, and no refunds will be given.
If you cannot attend an event you are advised to notify us as soon as possible, regardless of when the event is taking place.
If you cannot agree to this Cancellation & Refund policy then do not use this site and do not book an event
Cancellation Of Events By Phil Whyman’s Ghost Hunting Company
Whilst we will always try to ensure an event goes ahead, due to circumstances beyond our control cancellations may be unavoidable.
If The Ghost Hunting Company cancels an event due to circumstances beyond our control we will notify you of the cancellation, and you will be offered a place on an alternative event.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE OFFERED OR GIVEN and Phil Whyman’s Ghost Hunting Company will NOT be held liable for costs incurred to you and/or your party arising from cancelled accommodation bookings or travel arrangements.
The Ghost Hunting Company STRONGLY ADVISES that you take out insurance cover (if offered) at the time of booking your accommodation; if due to reasons beyond our control an event is cancelled such insurance cover will protect your accommodation booking, enabling you to request and receive a refund.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by United Kingdom laws.
Phil Whyman’s Ghost Hunting Company may alter these terms and conditions at any given time and without prior notification being given.
